Looking for disability support services in
Brisbane, Ipswich, or the Gold Coast?

As a registered NDIS provider, our disability support services extend throughout the Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Ipswich areas. Through our unique, independently proven approach to care, we will provide you with the support you desire, improve your quality of life, and assist you in maintaining or developing your independence. According to us, the services you need should be available from within your neighbourhood. Our self-managed teams aim to make that a reality.

Neighbourhood Care is a person-centred home care and support provider which operates using the Buurtzorg model. We are a “flat” organisation, meaning there are no middle managers in our organisation; our teams are empowered to operate autonomously. What does this mean for you? Most importantly, this means that you will develop stronger, more meaningful relationships with your support workers, nurses, occupational therapists, or other allied health professionals.

Before we provide any care or support services, we like to get to know you. This is exemplified by our slogan, “coffee first, then care!” – summarising our desire to foster strong relationships – which in turn allows us to provide a higher quality of holistic care and support. Through sitting down with you and your loved ones, we can design a support plan which is suited to your individual needs and goals, ensuring that your care is personalised for you. Our team of support workers, nurses, and allied health professionals will work with you in the decision-making process to best organise your services.

First coffee, then care

We want to get to know you. Taking the time to sit down and have a chat isn’t just a pleasant way to make an introduction, it also helps us to better understand you – your needs, your wants. By doing so, we can ensure that your support is holistic and individual.

I am very satisfied, they are now visiting me regularly. I really feel at home with my support team and I appreciate the inclusion of me and my family in the decision making.
At Neighbourhood Care they are very flexible towards my own needs and they try and suit me as much as possible to my preferences regarding timings and number of care staff.
When I am not on shift at Neighbourhood Care, I can switch off my phone but I do not mind keeping it on. I can decide to refer to another colleague who is familiar with the person calling to solve any issue they have. I prefer this as I can decide what to do.
