What is the Ronald McDonald Learning Program (RMLP)?
The Ronald McDonald Learning Program (RMLP) is an evidence-based early childhood intervention designed to support children with developmental delay or disability.
RMLP focuses on building early learning, communication, social, emotional and functional skills through structured, play-based activities. The programme is family-centred and aims to empower parents and carers with practical strategies they can use in everyday life.
How is Neighbourhood Care working with RMLP?
Neighbourhood Care delivers RMLP through our small, consistent, and self-managed teams, in line with the Buurtzorg model of care.
Our trained practitioners work closely with children and their families to deliver RMLP sessions in familiar environments (such as the home or community). We tailor strategies to the child’s individual needs and strengths while supporting parents and carers to confidently continue learning activities between sessions. Our allied health therapists also collaborate with other professionals involved in the child’s care when needed.
